Preziosa is the event especially dedicated to contemporary jewelry. The event of contemporary jewelry changes in its 2010 edition, when it moved from the thematic exhibition open to a demonstration of the culture of the jewel. For the first time it asks to a trio of master goldsmiths of contemporary jewelry to weave relationships with a younger artist and guide through your valuable suggestions. The aim is to stimulate the creativity of the young artist through the construction of a dialogue of questions, answers, questions, statements and thoughts.

The three masters are renowned goldsmiths and teachers belonging to the same generation, able to effectively convey their art by having Preziosa become a unique and unrepeatable event for contemporary jewelry. For years, the event "Preziosa" was held in Lucca. The idea of a festival devoted to contemporary jewel is welded to the desire to create a bridge between the past and present, to highlight how a city with historical and artistic heritage of exceptional stature would give space for contemporary creativity.

The initial form of the exhibition devoted to contemporary jewelry in 2005 was made by eleven selected artists of different generations and experiences, united by the choice of a particular approach to the subject with which you created the jewel.

The extraordinary success of the first edition of the event dedicated to contemporary jewelry has led to replication in 2006. The theme of the second edition is divided into three thematic sections and investigate the presence of the body in the jewel, and the natural movement in the jewel kinetic. In 2007, the third edition of the contemporary jewelry is presented in Barcelona, Spain, in the prestigious Museu Textil id'Indumentària. Following a selection of the exhibition was presented at inhorgenta europe 2008, Monaco di Baviera, 15 to 18 February 2008. The exhibition was presented in Lucca, in the beautiful place of Villa Bottini, from April 24th to May 18th, 2008

Lucca Preziosa 2009 was hosted at the premises of the Italian Institute of Culture in Delhi. For the second time there was the event devoted to young people "Lucca Preziosa Young", which sees the participation of 10-12 young graduates in the most prestigious jewelry school in the world, carefully selected by the international jury. The 2009 edition highlights the main purpose of the jewelry business is to beautify the person wearing it. The jewel is considered a component which gives beauty and must meet certain codified rules and fees.

The jewels were selected as views of an aesthetic concept that offers the public the opportunity to focus on certain aspects of the artist's research. The works of each artist representing a particular variation of the concept of beauty.
